Bodie is an 1850’s era gold-rush mining town in California, to the east of Yosemite and close to the Nevada border. It is now a ghost town, and also a California state park. It is officially preserved in a state of arrested decay, with many of the building interiors preserved as they were when the original inhabitants abandoned the town many decades ago. Many decades of dust inside the buildings lie untouched. The interiors of the buildings are closed to the public, and it is closed at night, but our group obtained permission to photograph both.
